This purchase covers the outfitting of four (4) APD vehicles, including lights, sirens, K-9-specific equipment, and other required items. It also includes the installation of all equipment, with a five-year warranty on installation work and the manufacturer’s warranty on all equipment. The original purchase was approved on October 2, 2024. However, the winning bidder, Dana Safety Supply, was unable to comply with their bid due to the omission of a critical component, making their bid incomplete. After discussions, they offered to complete the work at an additional cost, which resulted in them no longer being the lowest bidder. We then contacted ProLogic ITS, who confirmed their original bid included all specified work. However, they indicated that their costs have increased due to inflation since the bids were received in September.
