Description Recommend approval to award an annual contract to Savannah Brush and Chemical, Inc. for chlorine and hydrofluorosilicic (HFS) acid up to $186,600. The Public Works and Water Resources Department uses HFS acid to treat groundwater to state and local drinking water standards. The chlorine is used for disinfection of harmful pathogens. HFS acid is used to add fluoride to drinking water. The contract amount is higher than the bid price because it was determined that additional quantities are needed. The contract term expires on December 31, 2020. This contract includes three annual renewal options. | |
