A Request for Quotations (RFQ) was solicited for the purchase of two (2) passenger grounding boarding ramps with the option to lease four (4) additional ramps. Within the documents, the Airport Commission also had the option to purchase additional bridges as opposed to the leasing option. After reviewing the difference in purchasing versus leasing, the airport is requesting approval to purchase six (6) passenger ground boarding ramps. The passenger ground boarding ramps will be used during the four gate terminal expansion project. The mobile boarding ramps will be able to accommodate our existing fleet and will allow for additional aircraft parking spaces during construction. This boarding solution will allow easy boarding access to the aircraft, as well as meeting ADA requirements.
