This contract modification no. 1 is for pump repairs from GoForth Williamson in an amount not to exceed $500,000. This modification will extend the contract for one (1) additional year. The Water Reclamation Department is requesting an increase to replace one return-activated sludge pump and two contact drain pumps. Pump equipment is a critical component used in various applications to convey wastewater to the next process. If pumps are not maintained or repaired in a timely manner, raw sewage could spill into receiving streams which will compromise the health and safety of City residents. 

The return-activated sludge (RAS) pumps are utilized to maintain balance within the treatment process, by returning the micro-organism to the biological process. The RAS pumps have been in operation since 1994 and are original to the facility. The last overhaul at the President Street Plant was completed in 2016. The warranty for the pumps and repairs will be extended for one year. The original contract was approved by the City Council on June 20, 2019, in the amount of $100,000. Contract modification no 1. was approved on March 11, 2021, in the amount of $200,000. The total amount of this contract to date, including this modification, is $500,000. Delivery: As needed.
