| Description Recommend approval to purchase one marked police flatbed pickup truck from Wade Ford in the amount of $59,276.90. The Fleet Services Department will use this vehicle to replace a police unit that is no longer economical to maintain and repair. This flatbed pickup truck will be used by the Mounted Patrol function within the Savannah Police Department for routine law enforcement services. Per Section 2-4154 of the City's Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is a State of Georgia contract for truck chassis and truck bodies (Contract # 99999-SPD-SPD0000155-006). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires August 31, 2020.
