Recommend approval to renew an annual license for software modules with Geographic Solutions in the amount of $54,000.00. The license was awarded by Council on February 18, 2016 in the amount of $48,000.00. Contract Modification No. 1 to increase the amount by $6,000.00 was approved by Council on July 7, 2016, which increased the annual fee to $54,000.00

This license will be used to gain access to additional software modules that are part of a State-mandated program for customers who are going back to school for job training and those seeking jobs. The software modules will be added to WorkSource Coastal’s (WSC) existing Case Management system, Georgia Work Ready Online Participant Portal, to allow WSC to assist Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act customers with successful job search and placement. WSC staff will have the necessary resources needed to assist employers in reducing layoffs and hiring skilled employees within the 10-county region. 

This is a sole source procurement as the annual license agreement is only available from Geographic Solutions as it is the original provider of the software.
