Recommend approval to procure engineering design services from EMC Engineering Services, Inc. in the amount of $94,750.00. The services will be used by the Stormwater Department to update and finalize a report on the Placentia Canal Drainage Basin. This is a sole source because EMC Engineering Services, Inc. is the original designer of the basin. Therefore, additional design will not require duplication of design work.

The final report will provide flood maps based on modeled data, phased improvements, and updated cost estimates that will be utilized by City staff for implementation of improvements within the basin. The modeled data will also provide private development review staff with guidelines for future development within the basin.
