Title Motion to Approve Reimbursement for JetBlue Airways Gate Relocation
Description The Savannah Airport Commission requests authorization of an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00 to reimburse JetBlue Airways to relocate from Gate 9 to Gate 7. This move will allow for expanded ramp operations space for overflow parking. By relocating to Gate 7, JetBlue will lose its branding insignia that airline had on the wall space at Gate 9. JetBlue has requested to install a back-wall to the podium at Gate 7 to recover the brand exposure it had at Gate 9. The other related expenses include relocation of the cabling, power, and podium. Traditionally, the Commission has covered related expenses incurred by an airline if the relocation is at the Airport's request. This is a routine move required by the airport for operational needs. A picture of the branding on the wall is attached.
