Title Motion to Adopt the Savannah Business Opportunity Program Policy | |
Description The purpose of the proposed Savannah Business Opportunity (SBO) program policy is to increase utilization of local small businesses in all areas of City procurement. Businesses that meet required revenue and employee thresholds will be eligible for certification as Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), allowing them to participate in sheltered City contracts. Additionally, the City will establish cumulative annual participation goals to increase subcontracting opportunities for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) certified at the state and federal level. If approved, the SBO program policy will take effect January 1, 2018 and the existing Minority and Women Business Enterprise program policy, which it will supersede, will be terminated December 31, 2017. | |
