Title 31. Motion to Approve Amended Intergovernmental Agreement with Chatham County Pertaining to the E-911 Center
Strategic Priority Public Safety
Description The attached intergovernmental agreement with Chatham County amends the agreement approved by City Council on January 18, 2018. That original agreement established a date of July 1, 2018, for the County to take over operations of the E-911 Center from the City of Savannah. The County has proposed delaying the date of the operational takeover to January 1, 2019. As per the original agreement, effective January 1, 2018, the County assumed responsibility for any financial shortfalls that may occur when all E-911 charged funds are less than the actual cost of operation of the E-911 Center. The City will maintain operational control of the E-911 Center until January 1, 2019. This amended agreement was adopted by the Chatham County Commission on April 20, 2018.
