Description Recommend approval of Amendment No. 1 to the fire assessment fee study to Ecological Planning Group in the amount of $99,545.50. The original contract was for the vendor to conduct a study and to make recommendations for the implementation of a fire fee in the City of Savannah. This amendment includes Task II, which provides technical assistance and master file maintenance and updates during 2019 and 2020. It also included out-of-scope work EPG completed during Phase I of the project’s implementation at the request of City staff, including meetings with staff and City Council, attendance at a special called Workshop, attendance at the 2018 Budget Retreat, attendance at various Council Workshop sessions and Council Meetings, and an additional customer service training for City staff working to implement the fire fee. Phase I Out of Scope Work (Completed): $16,145.50 (2018 expense) Phase II Out of Scope Work (Anticipated): $ 5,800.00 (2018 expense) Task 2: Master File Maintenance and Updates: $77,600.00 ($38,800 annually in 2019 and 2020) The original contract was approved by Council on April 13, 2017 in the amount of $167,940.00. The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $267,485.50. | |
