The Mayor and Aldermen approved this rezoning request (MPC File No. 17-001825-CPA) following a zoning hearing at the City Council Meeting on June 8, 2017.

The petitioner, Philip R. McCorkle, is requesting approval of an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan's Future Land Use Map for a 1.92-acre property located at 333 West Montgomery Crossroad to change the land use from Residential-General to Commercial-Suburban.

This request is in conjunction with the recommendation by the Planning Commission to rezone the property located at 333 West Montgomery Crossroad from P-R-M-12 (Planned, Multifamily Residential, 12 units per net acre) to B-N (Neighborhood Business) (MPC File No. 17-001825-ZA) for the development of a fast-food restaurant.  Approving this request will make the Comprehensive Plan's Future Land Use Map consistent with the property's zoning change.

Request is to Adopt an Ordinance To Reclassify Certain Property From Its Present Residential-General Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Classification To A Commercial-Suburban Future Land Use Map Classification; To Repeal All Other Ordinances In Conflict Herewith; And For Other Purposes.
