Recommend approval to award an annual contract for landfilling of bio-solids to Republic Services of Georgia in the amount of $619,875.00. The purpose of this contract is for the disposing of the bio-solids generated at President Street Wastewater Facility on a temporary basis while the long-term solids dryers are being constructed. The existing multiple hearth incinerators that had been used for approximately 40 years were decommissioned in March 2006 as required under the Federal Clean Air Act. The contract term will be from June 22, 2017 through December 31, 2017.
