Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for the Eastern Wharf dock repairs project with Myrick Marine in the amount of $56,214.00.  The original construction contract for the Eastern Wharf Dock repairs in the amount of $372,028.55 to Myrick Marine. This project will repair and replace the remaining floats at the Eastern Wharf site formally known as the Savannah River Landing.  Floats that are salvageable will be retained while the remaining floats will be replaced with new wave attenuating floats. In addition this project will attach the second gangway to the dock.  When the dock was damaged it was removed.

This change order is for six additional floats in the amount of $53,730.00 and for additional fascia boards in the amount of $2,484.00.

Between the time of that the bids were received and the time that the Notice of Proceed was issued, six additional floats were damaged and need to be replaced. The additional fascia boards are needed to replace the existing fascia boards where the fire dock was tied to after it broke away from its position upriver. The fascia boards serve as rubbing boards for the docks to protect the walers.

Six additional calendar days will be added to the contract. The new contract amount will be $428,242.55 and the new completion date will be September 28, 2019.
