Recommend approval to award an annual contract for weed control chemicals to Nutrien AG Solutions in the estimated amount of $85,574.78.  The weed control chemicals will be utilized by the Greenscapes Division and other City departments to facilitate the management of vegetation throughout the city. The weed chemicals will specifically be used to kill unwanted vegetation from right of ways, walkways, parks, squares and other public places and city facilities.  Nutrien AG Solutions, Inc. is the lowest responsive bidder meeting specifications for the items being awarded.  Several items are maintained in inventory at the Central Warehouse; others are in inventory at the Stormwater Management Division.

This project was not identified as an SBE project because the requirement of three certified SBEs could not be met at the time this bid was released.

The contract term shall be from June 20, 2019 through December 31, 2020.
