Description Notification of the emergency replacement of an uninterruptible power source (UPS) for the southside radio site from Alpine Power Systems in the amount of $27,049.00, and the procurement of emergency removal services from Move Buddies in the amount of $673.00, for a total amount of $27,722.00. The services were used by the Department of Information Technology to remove and replace the UPS that was approximately 25 years old at the radio site. It failed on May 1, 2018, and was not economical to repair. The UPS provides back-up power to the site and also conditions and filters the commercial power provided to the site. The UPS also protects over $1.5 million in radio equipment. Both vendors were selected due to their immediate availability to respond. | |
