Title 18. Motion to Award Design and Construction Contract for Bolton Street Brick Line Cured-in-Place Pipe to Lanzo Lining Services, Inc. (Event No. 5257)
Strategic Priority Infrastructure
Description Recommend approval to award a contract for the Bolton Street cured-in-place pipe project to Lanzo Lining Services, Inc. in the amount of $2,432,760.00. This SPLOST VI project will line 1,600 feet of an active, 102-inch-diameter brick stormwater pipe constructed by hand nearly 150 years ago. This will improve the Bolton Street stormwater system, located in Aldermanic District 2. All four bidders for this event attended the mandatory pre-proposal conference. The method of procurement used for this event was the request for proposals. Proposals were evaluated on criteria in addition to costs. The evaluation criteria were project team and experience, project approach, proposed schedule, fees, MWBE participation, and local vendor participation. This event was released prior to January 1, 2018, when the City began assigning DBE goals to projects. This project included an open MWBE goal. The recommended proposer did not include MWBE participation.
