Description The City and the Board have negotiated an Intergovernmental Agreement to generate collaborative efficiencies and enhance access to public recreation benefits involving the Jenkins pool located at 1800 E. Derenne Avenue. The pool is owned by the Board. The Board will manage all facility aspects of the pool, including maintenance, repair, and obtaining and complying with any permits and best practices; including a Department of Public Health pool operating permit. The City will operate and staff the pool with lifeguards and other positions, and be responsible for water quality, adding appropriate chemicals, managing security, safety, janitorial, and related issues when using the pool. This is a revenue neutral agreement and each party will pay its own expenses. The term is month-to-month and can be terminate by either party with ten days of notice. Notwithstanding, the Agreement will expire in three years unless terminated prior.
