Title 25. Motion to Renew Annual Contract for Traffic Signal Construction Services with Hoffman Electric (Event No. 5019)
Strategic Priority Infrastructure
Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for traffic signal construction with Hoffman Electric in the estimated amount of $350,000.00. This contract is used by the Traffic Engineering Department for traffic signal construction projects throughout the City as well as for any necessary repairs of traffic signal strain poles or street light poles damaged by vehicular crashes or severe weather. This action will ensure the major work for street light projects can be carried out in an efficient manner (i.e. installation of signal poles, concrete foundation work, undergrounding of conduit, and vehicle loop detectors). This contract will also be used to expedite various projects slated to take place in the coming year, including the traffic signal upgrades and installation of pedestrian flashers and street lights on Montgomery Street as part of the two-way conversion project. The contract was originally approved in Council on April 27, 2017, in the amount of $96,132.16. This is the second of two renewal options. The contract term shall be from January 3, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
