Title 7. Approval of a Resolution Accepting a $15,000 Donation from St. Joseph’s/Candler for the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund
Strategic Priority Neighborhood Revitalization
Description Recommend approval of a resolution to accept a $15,000 donation from St. Joseph’s/Candler (SJ/C) for deposit into the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF) that supports workforce and affordable housing initiatives for modest wage SJ/C employees becoming first-time Savannah homeowners. These crucial investments provide tangible results for both SJ/C and the City of Savannah. Over the last seven years, SJ/C has invested a total of $105,000 into the SAHF. This public/private partnership serves as an exemplary model for other Savannah area employers. None of the investments made into the SAHF by SJ/C and other investors are used for administrative costs. The City of Savannah Housing and Neighborhood Services Department and CHSA, a non-profit housing corporation, oversee and administer the SAHF.
