Description

Georgia Power Company (GPC) has requested an easement at City-owned property located at 16 E. 35th Street (PIN 20065 05001), which is the site of Thomas Park and the Bull Street Library. GPC plans to take the current above ground/overhead power lines and bury them underground to make them more resilient to wind, rain, falling tree limbs, and other storm events. The easement provides Georgia Power access to construct, operate, maintain, repair, renew and rebuild upon electric current with wires, transformers, service pedestals, manholes, conduits, cables and other necessary apparatus, fixtures and appliances within the easement area. This easement is being granted at no cost and GPC is performing this project at no cost to the City.
