Title 32. Motion to Approve Contract with Park Assist to Install an Automated Parking Guidance System (APGS)
Strategic Priority N/A
Description The Savannah Airport Commission recommends approval of a contract with Park Assist in the amount of $583,716.60 to install an Automated Parking Guidance System (APGS). Park Assist is a parking guidance system that uses sensors and LED displays to communicate the direction and number of parking spaces available within a parking deck. The initial APGS was installed in 2007 and an upgrade was started in 2016. The estimated cost to finish the upgrade was significantly higher than what was estimated. As a result, the project was submitted as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Park Assist proposal was selected by the selection committee as the proposal that best fits the needs of the Airport.
