The Georgia Department of Transportation has prepared a new master List of Roads (LOR) authorizing speed enforcement via RADAR or LIDAR by the Savannah Police Department. The new list includes streets within the corporate limits of the City of Savannah only. Adoption by City Council is required in order for the list to be finalized by GDOT and the Georgia Department of Public Safety. 

The addition of a school zone on Bull Street between Anderson and Brady streets for the Susie King Taylor Community School, previously approved by the Mayor and Aldermen, is included in the new list.

In order to authorize the new Savannah Police Department to conduct RADAR or LIDAR speed enforcement within the City of Savannah, existing tables must be deleted and new tables must be added to the following Code sections:

• Sec. 207: Speed limits for on-system highways (State and Federal routes) 
• Sec. 208: Speed limits for off-system highways (Local Savannah City streets) 

Recommend that Sections 207 and 208 of the Code of Ordinances be amended to delete the tables of roadways, and replaced with revised tables, attached.
