Description This is a notification of an emergency procurement to replace the failing Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) for the Kerry Street Radio Tower from Eaton in the amount of $82,950. The Kerry Street Radio Tower is a critical piece of infrastructure in the City's radio network. The UPS ensures the radio network remains uninterrupted during the period between when a power outage occurs and the backup generator turns on. A power outage in September resulted in a nearly 15-minute service interruption. The root caused was determined to be the 12-year-old UPS, which was not functioning to full capacity. This prompted an emergency purchase and installation of this critical piece of infrastructure. The vendor is: E.P. Eaton (Charlotte, NC)(D) $82,950 A pre-bid conference was not conducted as this was an emergency procurement. (D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE business. Total sent: 1 Total received: 1 | |
