This resolution adopts the 2019 Savannah Affordable Housing Solutions Fund Policy Guidelines and Work Program, authorizing the continuation of the Savannah Affordable Housing Solutions Fund.  It also authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with the Community Housing Services Agency (CHSA), a non-profit organization, to work in coordination with the City of Savannah to implement the 2019 Policy Guidelines and Work Program.  

CHSA was established in large part by the City in 1989. The Agency has fulfilled this function since the Savannah Affordable Housing Solutions Fund was established in 2011. The Savannah Affordable Housing Solutions Fund is a housing fund established by the City of Savannah to help address local housing challenges and opportunities. The fund receives annual investments from the City, local banks, businesses, non-profits, and other entities. These investments are used to leverage significant private investment for workforce and other forms of affordable housing for modest income Savannah households. Contributions to the Savannah Affordable Housing Solutions Fund are not used to pay administration costs.
