| Description Recommend approval of Contract Amendment No. 3 for Georgetown Sewer Improvements with EMC Engineering Services, Inc. in the amount of $167,589.50. The original contract was for the engineering design and construction overview of the Georgetown Sewer Improvements project. This amendment is needed to include design of a replacement forcemain for Lift Station #126. The original engineering agreement for the Georgetown Sewer Improvements was approved by Council at the June 21, 2018 meeting. During the course of the design of sewer improvements upstream of this station, the existing forcemain experienced two additional failures (breaks), thus it has been determined that replacing the forcemain at this time is necessary. The proposed amendment includes route survey, preliminary and final forcemain design, permitting, and project bidding. The new force main will be built adjacent to the existing forcemain to reduce property acquisition needs, and provide reliable service into the future. This contract was originally approved by Council on June 21, 3018 in the amount of $201,099.50. The total amount of this contract to date, including this amendment, is $423,064. Recommend approval of Contract Amendment No.3 for Georgetown Sewer Improvements with EMC Engineering Services, Inc. in the amount of $167,589.50. | |
