The special called meeting of the City Council was held at 3:03 p.m. in City Council Chambers. Mayor Johnson offered an invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance recited in unison.

1. Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) Discussion.

Following a detailed presentation by Mayor Johnson and City Manager Melder, the City Manager made a strong recommendation for the Mayor and Aldermen to unanimously support (approve) the following LOST distribution between Chatham County and its municipalities:

Where upon, Members of City Council offered comments and asked questions.

Alderman Palumbo moved to authorize the City Manager to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) Certificate of Distribution, as described by the City Manager, subject to the terms and conditions of the 2012 (2013) LOST Agreement. The motion was seconded by Alderwoman Wilder-Bryan, Alderman Leggett, and Alderwoman Miller Blakely. The motion passed, 8-0-1 (Board Vote). Alderman Purtee was absent.

Mayor Johnson adjourned the Special Called Meeting at 4:20 p.m.
