Recommend Approval of Supplemental Agreement No. 1 between the City of Savannah and Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) for the Broughton Street tree installation (P.I. #0008996: CS 1021/Broughton St FM SR 25 Conn to CS 909/East Broad) entered on August 5, 2016.  This Supplemental Agreement finalizes the Contract with GDOT and the City of Savannah based on actual costs, allowing the City to recapture design expenses prior to construction.

On September 15, 2016, City Council approved a contract with Savannah Construction and Preservation, LLC in the amount of $277,745.67 to remove existing underperforming trees, create new tree wells, expand existing tree wells, and install and maintain new trees along Broughton Street from Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to Lincoln Street. The City portion of the total project cost of $316,597.35 is 20% or $63,319.47.
