Title Motion to Approve CPR and First Aid Training Agreement with the American Red Cross
Description This agreement authorizes the City of Savannah, and its instructors, to teach CPR & First Aid to the specifications of the American Red Cross. Upon completion, the participants obtain American Red Cross certifications that are valid for a two-year period. Each participant's department is responsible for the $27.00 charge associated with taking the course. This is the fee the Red Cross charges to issue the card which states the employee is certified. The City's certified trainers conduct the classes, per Red Cross specifications. The total estimated number of employees who will be certified over the next year is 200, which would make the estimated total annual cost $5,400.
