Title Motion to Procure Roll Off Container Trucks from Roberts Truck Center (Event No. 5205) | |
Description Recommend approval to procure four roll-off container trucks from Roberts Truck Center in the amount of $541,061.28. The trucks will be utilized by Commercial Refuse and Recycling and Litter Services Departments to replace trucks that have reached the end of their useful life cycle and are no longer cost effective to maintain. Roll-off container trucks are necessary to allow for the drop-off and pick-up of containers that allow for the collection of refuse waste and recyclables. The Commercial Refuse Department utilizes the roll-off container trucks to collect refuse waste from commercial customers city-wide. In addition, Recycling and Litter Services Department utilizes the trucks to collect recyclables from the recycling facility and recycling events. The roll-off trucks promote and sustain a healthy and clean environment. Purchase of these roll-off trucks will ensure that both departments have safe and reliable equipment to perform daily activities and support other operational activities in a timely manner.
