Title Motion to Award Annual Contract for Gate and Tapping Valves to Fortiline Waterworks, Consolidated Pipe & Supply, HD Supply Waterworks, and Ferguson Waterworks (Event No. 5160)
Description Recommend approval to award an annual contract for gate and tapping valves to Fortiline Waterworks in the amount of $2,319.84, Consolidated Pipe & Supply in the amount of $104,550.49, to HD Supply Waterworks in the amount of $7,262.00, and to Ferguson Waterworks in the amount of $18,322.86, for a total contract amount of $132,455.19. The gate and tapping valves are required throughout the existing water distribution system and are used by the Water Distribution Department to control flows of water and to allow for the repair and maintenance of the system and to replace valves as needed. The low bidder was selected for all items except for those items where the apparent low bidder proposed a product with a 250 PSI operating pressure that did not meet the specifications. The specifications called for operational pressure of 350 PSI. Several items are maintained in inventory at the Central Warehouse; others are in inventory at Water Distribution Department.
