Motion to Approve PY16 Paxen Modification
On July 7, 2016, the Savannah City Council approved four contracts totaling $1,230,000 to Paxen Learning, LLC and Savannah Impact Program to provide work experience, occupational skills training, alternative secondary school services, tutoring and supportive services for the PY16 period--July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
On April 27, 2017, City Council approved contract modifications to award an additional $450,000 for the PY16 Summer Work Experience Program which brings the total contract amount to $1,680,000.
On June 23, 2017, The Coastal Workforce Development Board approved the transfer of the funds from Paxen, LLC (Bulloch, Effingham, and Screven) to Paxen, LLC (Bryan, Liberty, and Long) contracts. The Paxen, LLC (Bulloch, Effingham, and Screven) contract will decrease by $35,815 and the Paxen, LLC (Bryan, Liberty, and Long) contract will increase by $35,815. These modifications/reallocations will allow 30 additional Liberty County youth to be served in the Summer Work Experience Program.
