| Description Recommend approval of a final close-out modification of the Springfield Canal Pump Station Gantry Crane Rail Extension with Southern Civil, LLC (Townsend, GA)(C) in the amount of $9,600. Stormwater Capital Improvements staff is requesting that Council approve a summary change order associated with the completion of the crane extention project. The purpose of the Crane Rail Extension Project was to increase the crane rail from 8 to 15 feet and to strengthen the steel framing for maneuvering a transport truck under the crane to safely and efficiently load and offload flood control pumps. The change order results in an overall increase in the contract amount of $9,600, which increased the original contract amount from $114,540 to $124,140. The cost increase was due to encountering unanticipated underground utilities that required modifications to the design of the support for the concrete foundation. L.B.
