Description Requesting approval for acquisition of the property located at 1308 West Gwinnett Street (PIN 20046 01009). This property is owned by the Estate of Ruby Idella Brown, and is located on the north side of West Gwinnett Street, west of Stiles Avenue. Part of the property is needed to widen the right-of-way as part of the Gwinnett Street project. The remainder property is being acquired to provide a point of access from West Gwinnett Street to another adjoining City property. As determined by a third-party, well-qualified appraiser, the fair market value for the property totals $20,500. Mr. Charles M. Brown, administrator for the Estate counter-offered for $40,000. The parties have agreed to settle at $30,000 with the City paying all closing costs. | |
