Description Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to renew a contract with Carol Crockett, LLC for SFES medical technician training (EMT) in the amount of $76,800 for fiscal year 2019 in order to train 40-60 fire operations personnel for the year in accordance with the City of Savannah’s Strategic Plan. This emergency medical technician training is in accordance with the Savannah Forward Strategic Plan Goal 1.4 - Medical 911 BLS and ALS Support Services: By 2023, citizens making 911 calls for an emergency medical incident will receive first responder or higher level services within 5 minutes or less, at least 90% of the time. This item also continues to satisfy strategic goal 1.4.3 - establishing an ongoing firefighter EMT training program by December 31, 2018. Council originally approved the contract with Carol Crockett, LLC on April 12, 2018. During this contract period, $25,600 will be reimbursed by a grant awarded by WorkSource Coastal. This is the first of three renewals available. The contract term shall be from August 15, 2019 through December 31, 2019. | |
