This project consists of installing new electrical feeders from the existing pad-mounted generator to the manual transfer switch at the Fuel Farm. Once completed, the fuel farm will have a back-up generator in the event of a power outage, ensuring SAC can continue receiving and dispensing fuel without interruptions. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, testing, and commissioning required for the emergency backup system. The Commission publicly advertised a Request for Proposal (RFP 2026 0022) from May 11 to June 16, 2026, and received three submissions. Based on the weighted evaluation criteria, Aiken Harper Electrical Services was selected as the most responsible and advantageous bidder. The project was approved in the 2026 budget for $60,000.00.
