Title Motion to Approve Contract with Infax, Inc. for Flight Information Display System Upgrades
Description The Savannah Airport Commission requests approval for Flight Information Display System (FIDS) Ticket Counter Display upgrades with Infax, Inc. in the amount of $157,353.54. The ticket counter displays are used by the airlines to communicate information and provide direction to passengers waiting to be checked in for their flight. The current displays were installed with the original FIDS system and have reached the end of their useful life. The proposed upgrade will include the upgrade of the head-end controller, and the installation of a new software platform to allow for the creation of high definition video content. The upgrade will also include the installation of (40) 43-inch LCD monitors, (40) Digital Display controllers, and a network switch. The new displays will be ceiling mounted and installed over the existing ticket counters. This is a sole source purchase, as Infax is the provider of the current FIDS system.
