Description Recommend approval to procure Forestry Management and Timber Sales Management Services in an amount of $5,000 plus 6% commission of timber sales with Marsh Forestry and Appraisal, LLC. In December 2019, City of Savannah accepted a donation of a 863.29 acre conservation tract of land from Figure 8, LLC located in New Hampstead area of the City. The tract is situated along New Hampstead Parkway to the south of Little Neck Road. The tract of land is encumbered with a Conservation Easement held by North American Land Trust which limit land uses. As part of due diligence efforts prior to accepting these lands, Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) prepared a 10-year Forestry Stewardship Program management plan to assist the City in safe and profitable management of the property while also improving wildlife habitat. A Request for Proposals was issued (Event #8183) in order to solicit proposals from well-qualified consultants to provide forestry management and timber sales brokerage services. The respondents were requested to comply with the guidelines and plans prepared by GFC for City of Savannah.
