Description This is an annual contract for Backflow Preventers with Ferguson Enterprises in the amount of $173,856. The backflow preventers will be used by the Water Distribution department to prevent the reverse flow of water in City water laterals and prevent polluted water from entering the potable water system. Without backflow preventers, drinking water and plumbing systems will become contaminated and unusable. A portion of the backflow preventers is maintained in inventory at the Central Warehouse while others are purchased directly from the vendor. The bid was advertised, opened, and reviewed. The contract term expires on March 23, 2022. This contract also includes three annual renewal options. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days. The bidders were: L.B. Ferguson Enterprises, LLC (Savannah, GA) (B) $173,855.84 A pre-proposal conference was not conducted for this event. (B) Indicates a local, non-DBE business. | |
