Resolution to celebrate former Chatham County Commissioner Joseph Murray Rivers’ life.  A local activist and public servant, Joe Murray Rivers died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the age of 78.  He served for 20 years as a Chatham County Commissioner, and then became a member of the board of directors and the interim executive director for Chatham Area Transit.
