In 2017 the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance was amended, and included a provision in Section 6-1215, subsections (a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (h), requiring that all persons employed as managers, servers, bartenders, doorpersons and any other employee with responsibility for handling, serving, mixing or dispensing alcoholic beverages employed by any Class A, C, or H file an application for a server permit with the Revenue Department. This expansion of the class of persons subject to the server permit requirement has yet to be implemented.
