Title 36. Notification of Emergency Procurement of Four Chlorinators from ES2 Environmental Systems (Event No. 7033)
Strategic Priority Infrastructure
Description Notification of emergency purchase of installation of four chlorinators from ES2 Environmental Systems in the amount of $48,985. The chlorinators were used by the Public Works and Water Resources Department to replace four existing chlorinators that were worn and unable to distribute the proper amount of chlorine for higher water demands. The installation of the new chlorinators will allow the Supply and Treatment Unit to continue to meet State and Federal water requirements by properly disinfecting the drinking water. Upon This is an emergency purchase because the chlorinators were failing which resulted in a mechanical inspection which determined that the equipment had exceeded their useful lives. The chlorinators need to be operable per the State and Federal Water requirements. This vendor was selected because it was the first available vendor to immediately respond.
