Description

The petitioner is requesting to rezone ~17.85 acres located at 6089 Ogeechee Road (PIN 11029 05014) from R-A-CO (Residential-Agricultural-County) to Light-Industrial (I-L) for the purpose of building warehouses. The property is bounded by 6083 Ogeechee Road, The Villages at Vallambrosa Subdivision to the south, R-A (Residential – Agricultural) zoned parcels to the rear of the subject property along Sylvania Road and to the west of the subject parcel is a P-I-L (Planned – Light -Industrial) classification.

In 2021, the subject parcel was annexed into the City of Savannah. Note, Chatham County Tax Assessor’s Office will change the property identification number in January 2022. To address any impacts of future development, a condition has been added to the rezoning where the property owner must submit a general development plan to the Metropolitan Planning Commission for review and approval prior to permitting.
