22. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract for Furniture for the Savannah Fire Support Facility and the Code Compliance Office with Mason, Inc. in the Amount of $221,957. This furniture will support the operations at the Savannah Fire Support Facility and Code Compliance office. (Capital Projects)

Description

This contract is for office furniture from Allseating Corp., The HON Company, and National Office Furniture, through Mason, Inc., in the amount of $221,957. This furniture will support the operations of the Savannah Fire Support Facility and the Code Compliance office. This purchase includes items such as desks, office chairs, storage and filing components, conference and training tables, and multipurpose chairs. The Savannah Fire Support Facility and the Code Compliance office project is nearing completion. The project site is located at 2155 Gwinnett Street. Installation of the furnishings is scheduled to occur in October/November 2022.

 

Allseating Corp, HON Company and National Office Furniture are approved vendors under Georgia’s statewide approved contracts program. These statewide contracts are established for convenience and are available for use by all State and Local public entities. The State of Georgia used a competitive bidding process to select Allseating Corp, The HON Company, and National Office Furniture to serve as providers for these commodities. Mason Inc. is the vendor who will oversee the ordering, delivery, and installation of the furniture. Per section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract. The contracts used for this procurement are Georgia State contract # 99999-001-SPD0000100-0073, 99999-001-SPD0000100-0091, and 99999-001-SPD0000100-069. Terms: Net 30 days. A pre-proposal meeting was not conducted as these goods are being procured through the use of a state contract agreement. (D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE business.
