Motion to Adopt Section 8-1003 in the Code of Ordinances to Restrict the Placement of Certain Vehicles on Residential Properties

The proposed Section 8-1003 is designed to supplement the International Property Maintenance Code to make it unlawful for motor vehicles, boats and trailers to be parked on residential properties in all but certain areas, such as driveways and enclosed structures.
Section 8-1003 also prohibits the parking of inoperable vehicles on residential properties unless stored in a legal accessory structure.
First reading was heard by City Council during the meeting of August 31, 2017. This is the second and final reading.
