Recommend approval of a resolution to accept a $10,500 donation from The Home Depot Foundation to the City of Savannah in conjunction with the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF). These funds were provided as a part of the company’s annual Celebration of Service campaign, a nationwide effort led by Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer force, to give back to veterans between September 1 and Veterans Day (November 11). Team Depot, which includes more than 20 area Home Depot associates and volunteers, will use the funds to purchase materials to improve the properties for two low-income veteran homeowners.
