Description

The 2022 One-Year Action Plan serves as the blueprint for how the City of Savannah will use Federal entitlement funds and other resources to address the needs of low- and moderate-income persons and to improve housing, economic and other conditions within predominantly low-income neighborhoods. The Plan was developed based on public input, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program requirements and City Council priorities, and proposes use of entitlement funds including: Community Development Block Grant, Emergency Solutions Grant and HOME Investment Partnership funds.

The First Public Hearing was held on July 13, 2021 at the Savannah Morning News Auditorium and officially began the 2022 budget planning process. The Second Public Hearing follows the close of the official 30 day-comment period which ended Wednesday, October 27th. The purpose of the Second Public Hearing is to provide the public the opportunity to comment on the proposed 2022 One -Year Action Plan. Following the close of the Second Public Hearing, a motion to formally adopt the 2022 One-Year Action Plan appears in the resolution section of the agenda.
