52. Motion to Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Development Agreement with Mercy Housing for the Installation of Public Infrastructure for the Final Phase of Savannah Gardens

Description

Mercy Housing is preparing to begin construction of its final 85 Savannah Gardens tax credit funded dwellings. To facilitate the coordination, continuity and timing of both private and public infrastructure installation and site work, the City is seeking to enter into a development agreement with Mercy Housing for installation of the public infrastructure. Mercy Housing will hire a contractor acceptable to the City to perform work in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City’s consulting engineer. Work shall be inspected and approved by the City’s consulting engineer and City staff. Payment to reimburse Mercy Housing for this work will not exceed $1.75 million without additional City Council approval. Mercy Housing shall meet all requirements detailed in Section 01310 pertaining to non-discrimination, equal employment opportunity, subcontracts, and opportunities for project area residents, including the established 20% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal and 10% Local DBE goal.
