| Description Recommend approval to procure an engine replacement from Vanguard Truck Center of Savannah in the amount of $35,133.95. The Fleet Services Department is recommending replacing a 2016 Mack MP7 engine in unit #6701. The unit is a Mack front loader garbage truck that is assigned to the Commercial Refuse Department and is not scheduled for replacement until 2023, so it is imperative that these repairs are done so the vehicle remains in operation. This is a sole source because Vanguard Truck Center of Savannah is the only repair facility in the area that is certified to work on Mack engines. This procurement is essential to the operation of Commercial Refuse. | |
