Services are Needed to Prepare the Space for the Relocation of Staff Currently Working in the Savannah Morning News Building by the End of this Year.

Description

Recommend approval to procure painting services for the interior of the former Development Services Building from E & D Coatings, Inc. in the amount of $37,800.

The Real Estate Services Department recently relocated all departments from the City-owned facility located at 5515 Abercorn Street (former Development Services Building) to the new Adams Municipal Services Complex located off Interchange Drive.  Real Estate Services is now in the process of performing minor renovations to the facility to prepare it to be back-filled with staff exiting the City-leased facility located at 1375 Chatham Parkway (the Savannah Morning News Building).   Real Estate Services is performing minor renovations to include, replacement of ceiling tiles, light bulbs, interior paint, and carpeting. In addition, the department will strip and re-wax the vinyl flooring and procure new cubicles and other minor furnishings. All work must be completed quickly as staff will be relocating to the facility before the end of this year.

This event was released as a Savannah First Bid and the City received one local respondent for this event.
